Spring has sprung! To celebrate, Stratus Rooftop Lounge, the chic rooftop venue on the 11th floor of the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Old City, is hosting its 12th year of the wildly successful, buzzed-about Spring Awakening extravaganza, this time-around titled Starry Night, Hollywood Glam by the Decade, on Friday, April 28 from 5:30 – 8:30pm for VIP cocktail hour and select open bar, followed by 8:30pm – 2am for General Admission. This Hollywood movie premiere-influenced soirée boasts live music from SNACKTIME and noted DJs spinning vinyl, classic cocktails and elevated hors d'oeuvres popular from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, Madonna-inspired burlesque, go-go dancers, breakdancers, and so on.  

Spring Awakening marks the return of Stratus Rooftop Lounge’s official kick off to the spring and summer season. The lavish soirée previews the newly launched seasonal cocktail menu courtesy of Lead Bartender Patrick Banko, and includes exquisite, expertly curated fare from the talented culinary team at Stratus Rooftop Lounge and sister restaurant Red Owl Tavern. For one-night-only, attendees can expect a festive and over-the-top transformation of the adjacent indoor pavilions Mist and Vapor as well as the main bar and lounge to each replicate a different decade with the overarching theme of a Hollywood movie premiere. Each room will transport guests back in time to the 70s, 80s, and 90s, rife with spirited sippers (think: riffs on Tequila Sunrise, Sex on the Beach, Cosmopolitan) and a plethora of light bites inspired by popular foods from each era. The scenic display will feature iconic hues, textiles and strobe lighting local to its respective decade, plus movie posters of legendary films, a replica of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, glittery, reflective disco balls, a red carpet, plenty of themed backdrops for Instagram-able photo opportunities, and more.
